About English Congregation

In applying New York Presbyterian Church’s vision of a multi-lingual, multi-generational, and multi-congregational model, the English Congregation was formed in January of 2014 from the existing English Ministry. The English Congregation consists of all English speaking members of New York Presbyterian Church from ages 13 and up. It also reflects the biblical mandate of passing on the faith from generation to generation (Deut 6:4-9; Psalm 78:5-8).

Now how that happens outside of the family unit, unfortunately, has not been exactly dictated in scripture. What we do know, however, is that within the context of a Korean-American Church, fulfilling that mandate deals with bridging generations and preparing for future generations. That is what NYPC EC is trying to do. We hope to provide a spiritual home for the many 1.5, second and even third generation Korean-American Christians that are out there and also to take up the reins of the Korean American Church.
